Join Our Team – Parts Assistant 

L. Evans & Son is a long-established, family-run agricultural machinery dealership with a reputation for providing exceptional customer service and support. We are looking for a friendly, organised and motivated Parts Assistant to join our busy Parts Department at our Hereford branch. Whether you’re experienced in agricultural machinery or have a strong customer service background and a willingness to learn, this is an exciting opportunity to become part of our team.

ABOUT YOU

Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out day to day activities required within our busy parts department. Delivering outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers. You will be required to identify required parts, pick parts from stock and place orders with suppliers to meet customer expectations.

  • IT knowledge essential
  • Responding to customer parts and Service Workshop enquiries via phone, email and face to face in a timely manner.
  • Loading and unloading the parts and equipment deliveries.
  • Ensuring customer collections, local deliveries and courier dispatches are dealt with quickly and efficiently.
  • Picking, packing, and allocating parts warehouse stock.
  • Identifying customer and workshop engineer parts requirements, including completion of associated administration.

The ideal Agricultural Parts Assistant will have

  • Excellent people skills and enjoy working with the general public and business customers.
  • Capable of working as part of a team and also working alone using own initiative.
  • Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere and can cope under pressure during busy periods.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and internet use as you will be required to use online parts systems.
  • Good communication skills: face-to-face, email and on the phone.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with numbers, handling of payments.
  • Experience preferred but not essential.

Hours:

  • 8AM – 5PM Monday to Friday
  • 8AM – 12PM Saturdays as required
